Program Description

All virtual instructor-led training courses are delivered in Eastern Time (ET).

This virtual instructor-led training course is delivered in 3.5-hour sessions on back-to-back training days.

This course is available as an onsite offering. Please email us for a quote.

This course is designed to fully explain the ISO 45001:2018 Standard and leave participants with a solid road map for what changes will be required to implement the requirements.

This course is designed for organizations who have already implemented a QMS to ISO 9001:2015 or ISO 14001:2015. The Standard follows the same high-level structure and the following are interpreted though the lens of occupational health and safety:

  • Understanding the organization and its context
  • Understanding the needs and expectations of interested parties
  • Leadership accountability
  • Actions to address risks and opportunities
  • Change management and impacts on health and safety

  • In order to derive the most value from the learning and from the workshops, it would be beneficial to participants to already have a working knowledge of their own health and safety procedures and audits.

Particular requirements for compliant occupational heath and safety systems are emphasized:

  • Worker involvement, along with training and education
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Evaluating hazard risks as a prelude to hazard controls
  • Incident investigation

  • For automotive companies, an optional workshop is offered where participants review their APQP process against the Standard’s requirements and the process approach to propose changes to more effectively consider OH&S concerns during product launch.

Please have your copy of the ISO 45001:2018 standard available for this training program.
