Prerequisite(s): A good understanding and working knowledge of the ISO/TS 16949:2009 standard is essential.
The recently released first edition of IATF 16949:2016 is the most substantial revision to the standard in thirteen years. This three-day course, designed for implementers, managers, internal auditors and lead auditors within currently registered companies, provides an in-depth review of the changes in the new IATF 16949:2016 quality management standard and an overview of core tools for internal auditors.
Most automotive manufacturers and suppliers require use of core tools. The third day of this training program will provide an overview of core tools, such as advanced product quality planning (APQP), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), measurement system analysis (MSA), production part approval process (PPAP), and statistical process control (SPC). Through instruction and workshop exercises, learners will gain an understanding of the core tools required to effectively implement and audit IATF 16949:2016.
Participants should bring their copy of the new IATF 16949:2016 standard to this training program.
At the end of this training program, you will:
- Discuss the changes in the new IATF 16949:2016 standard
- Implement changes to your quality management system in compliance with the IATF 16949:2016 standard
- Recognize and audit in compliance with the core tools requirements
