Each year, we provide training to more than 6,000 professionals in the global food and beverage industry in HACCP, food safety and quality, GFSI-benchmarked standards, ISO standards, food science, microbiology, packaging and regulations. Over 550 courses are delivered annually in 8 languages, making NSF Training and Education Services an international training leader.

Our comprehensive programming is focused on providing practical and technical information, meeting learning needs across the broad scope of the food supply chain and supporting our clients in what they do best - producing safe, quality food. Courses are designed and taught by industry experts, allowing you to acquire the core competencies you seek, while learning from the best in the business.

NSF Training & Education Services is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). NSF Training & Education complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. As a result of this accreditation, NSF Training & Education is authorized to issue the IACET Continuing Education Credit (CEU).

Public training programs are open to anyone who meets the prerequisites listed on the course page.

On-site training programs are delivered at your facility (anywhere in North America) to save you the time and expense of sending employees elsewhere. We can design and develop a program specifically for you or we can put a tailored spin on any of our existing training programs.

Instructor-led courses are available throughout the year. Training is delivered by industry experts, allowing access to NSF Training & Education’s interactive programming from the convenience of your own location.

Self-directed programming allows you to benefit from NSF Training & Education’s engaging, interactive and technical programming while progressing at your own pace. A Learning Management System (LMS) monitors your learning progress.

Registration and payment for all courses must be completed online using a credit card. If you have trouble registering for a program, please contact us at nsflearn@nsf.org. Full payment must be received before the first day of the course.

Within two (2) days of your online registration, you will receive a confirmation email from NSF Training & Education containing specific details related to the course including date, time, location, specific program requirements and travel/accommodation information in the event that you are traveling. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact us at nsflearn@nsf.org. You will also receive an automatic registration reminder one to two weeks prior to the program date.

Early Cancellations: When a cancellation is received in writing more than two weeks before the course start date, a refund will be issued for the registration fee paid, less a 25% processing charge.

Late Cancellations: Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received less than two weeks before the course start date.

Substitutions: If you have pre-registered for a program but are no longer able to attend, you are welcome to send a colleague in your place. Please notify us of the change in writing as soon as possible by emailing nsflearn@nsf.org.

NSF Training and Education Services reserves the right to cancel or postpone a program due to unforeseen circumstances or low course registration. Should this occur, registrants will be informed immediately and entire registration fees will be refunded. Alternatively, registrants may choose to be transferred into the next offering of the same program. If you are traveling to attend a program, we recommend that you purchase travel insurance should the program be cancelled or postponed.

In the event of inclement weather, every effort is taken to make a decision regarding program cancellations and communicate that decision to all registrants as soon as possible. All registrants are advised to monitor local news for updated weather information.

For programs held at our Guelph office in Canada, NSF Training and Education Services will observe the University of Guelph’s inclement weather policy and will be closed when the University campus is closed. Please check the University of Guelph website (www.uoguelph.ca) for status on University closure and subsequently NSF Training and Education Services closure.

NSF does not reimburse for any pre-booked travel arrangements. If you are traveling to attend a program, we recommend that you purchase travel insurance should the program be cancelled or postponed.

Unless otherwise noted, participants are not required to bring any specific technological devices or special materials to class. Should there be any special requirements for a given learning event, notice will be provided by email prior to the program.

A variety of instructional techniques and methods are used throughout all programs depending on the subject, program content and delivery modality, including direct teaching, lecture, in-class demonstrations, group activities, cooperative learning, individual activities, large and small group discussion, problem solving activities, demonstrations and simulations, quizzes, brainstorming, role-playing, videos, case studies, mini projects, worksheets, polling, chat-boxes and knowledge checks.

Various assessment tools, techniques and methods may be used to assess participant learning and achievement of learning objectives (based on delivery modality). These may include quiz/examination, case study, large and small group discussion, discussion forum (online), skills/knowledge demonstration or interactivity, instructor evaluation and feedback (group and individual).

An Official Learner Record is a complete record of your satisfactory completion of learning events. A fee of $20 (plus any applicable taxes and courier fees) for each copy requested will be charged. Requests can be made in writing to NSF Training and Education Services at nsflearn@nsf.org.

Early Bird Rate: Those who pay the full registration fee a minimum of three weeks before the course start date will receive the early bird discounted rate specified on www.nsflearn.org.

Regular Rate: The regular rate applies to any course registration that is completed within three weeks of the course start date.

Member Rate: The member rate is available only to existing NSF Canada members. NSF Canada membership and the member rate is not associated with NSF certification or other services provided by NSF International. The member rate cannot be applied to organizations who do not have an existing NSF Canada membership.
