This one day course is designed to fully explain the ISO 45001:2018 Standard and leave participants with a solid road map for what changes will be required to implement the requirements.

This course is designed for organizations who have already implemented a QMS to ISO 9001:2015 or ISO 14001:2015. The Standard follows the same high-level structure and the following are interpreted though the lens of occupational health and safety:

  • Understanding the Organization and its Context
  • Understanding the Needs and Expectations of Interested Parties
  • Leadership Accountability
  • Actions to Address Risks and Opportunities
  • Change Management and impacts on health & safety

  • In order to derive the most value from the learning and from the workshops, it would be beneficial to participants to already have a working knowledge of their own health and safety procedures and audits.

Particular requirements for compliant occupational heath and safety systems are emphasized:

  • Worker involvement, along with training and education
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Evaluating Hazard Risks as a prelude to Hazard controls
  • Incident Investigation

  • For automotive companies, an optional workshop is offered where participants review their APQP process against the Standard’s requirements and the process approach to propose changes to more effectively consider OH&S concerns during product launch.

Participants should bring their copy of the ISO 45001:2018 standard to this training program.

    Program Benefits

The course will address the new requirements and by the end of the session, participants will have:

  • Derived the context of the organization
  • Conducted a risk assessment
  • Considered how their management system for occupational health and safety can be integrated with other management system standards
  • Who Should Attend
